HomeWatchOS ("HomeWatchOS," "we," "us," or "our") is a home watch software platform operated by SAJMedia Marketing. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and application at homewatchos.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using HomeWatchOS, you agree to the practices described here.
A note on roles, because it matters: HomeWatchOS is a tool that home watch professionals ("operators") use to run their businesses. When an operator adds a homeowner's details, property information, or visit records, the operator decides what to collect and why — they are the controller of that information, and we process it on their behalf. If you are a homeowner and have questions about your data, the operator who serves you is your first point of contact.
01. Information we collect
Information operators provide
When you create a workspace, we collect the account details you enter — such as your name, business name, email address, and the workspace code that identifies your account. As you use the app, we store the content you create: properties and addresses, homeowner contact details you enter, schedules, visit records, checklists, photos, notes, issues, vendor details, and billing records.
Payment information
Subscription payments to HomeWatchOS, and payments operators collect from their own clients, are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details are entered directly with Stripe and handled under Stripe's security standards — we never see or store full card numbers or bank credentials. We retain limited billing metadata such as plan status and payment timestamps.
Technical information
Like most web services, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and request logs) to keep the service secure and reliable. Some features use your device's location — for example, GPS-confirmed visit check-ins — only when you actively use them.
02. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the HomeWatchOS service.
- To sync your workspace across your devices and generate reports, portals, and documents you request.
- To process subscription billing and, where enabled, the recurring payments you collect from your clients.
- To send service communications you've opted into, such as trial reminders and account notices.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace content to train third-party advertising profiles.
03. Homeowner information
Operators enter information about the homeowners and properties they serve so they can document visits and share reports. If you are an operator, you are responsible for having the appropriate basis and consent to store your clients' information in HomeWatchOS, and for how you use it. Homeowner portals are shared through secure links; the operator controls who receives them.
04. How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that make HomeWatchOS work, each handling data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Netlify — application hosting and secure data storage.
- Resend — sending transactional email (such as reminders and notifications).
- Anthropic — powering AI features like report drafting, processing only the content needed to generate the requested output.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your data to anyone.
05. Payments and Stripe
HomeWatchOS uses Stripe for two things: collecting your subscription payment to us, and — if you enable it — letting you charge your own clients on a recurring basis through Stripe Connect. When you connect payments, Stripe creates an account for your business, and funds from your clients flow to you, not to us. Your use of Stripe is subject to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
06. Data storage, security, and location
Your workspace data is stored with our hosting provider and transmitted over encrypted connections. Some data is also cached locally in your browser so the app works quickly and offline. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information. Data may be processed in the United States.
07. Data retention
We keep your workspace data for as long as your account is active. If a free trial ends without upgrading, your data is preserved, not deleted, so you can pick up where you left off. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time (see "Your choices" below).
08. Cookies and local storage
The HomeWatchOS app uses your browser's local storage to hold your workspace so it loads instantly and works reliably. Our website may use minimal cookies for basic functionality. We do not use invasive cross-site advertising trackers.
09. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Operators can edit or remove most information directly in the app. For any request we can't fulfill in-app — including deletion of your account — contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Homeowners should contact the operator who serves them for changes to information that operator entered.
10. Children
HomeWatchOS is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll provide a more prominent notice. Continued use of HomeWatchOS after an update means you accept the revised policy.
